How snmpd processed the request

I executed "snmpget -v2c -c public localhost sysName" and got output similar to linux command "uname -n". From my understanding it looks for mibs,here SNMPv2-MIB. but where it exicuting the above linux command. please help me trace it down. sorry for any mistakes.
