I currently have 5 sensors per machine on our network. Ping, Network, Virtual Memory, System Uptime, and Disk Free. On all of my PCs (about 30) that have floppy drives, snmp.exe accesses the drive every 2 minutes. This is whether the drive has a floppy in it or not. If there is a floppy in it, once snmp.exe does its thing, the anti-virus has to kickoff.

Is there a way to stop PRTG/snmp.exe from even looking at the FDD? I don't want or need any data from it for my monitoring.

Thanks

Hi,
unfortunately we do not have a solution for this. Sorry.
It seems MS cut down the ability to extend SNMP (or at least the documentation on how to do so) with your own MIBs drastically. So the only hint I can give is to have a look at SNMP Informant Standard.
Best regards
