I've read many posts on here and keep reading different answers. What's the max # of WMI based sensors one probe can host safely?

Dear PRTG user
Because it depends on so many factors, even a rough estimate is difficult. Providing you are using a modern Windows (at least Windows 7) you can expect to run about 1000 WMI sensors on a probe.
That doesn't mean any probe will be able to run as many as 1000 WMI sensors, or that it is impossible to run 2000 WMI sensors on a single probe. But if you want to use a lot of WMI sensors, please consider horizontal hardware scaling with a magnitude of 1000 sensors per probe.
Whenever possible, set the scanning interval to 5 or 10 minutes for WMI sensors.
