Move devices to other group, what happens to history?

I would like to move some devices to another group, but i wonder what will happen with the current history and log of the devices.

The historic data will be kept. The reason behind is that the historic data folder contains one subfolder for each day. Each subfolder contains one file per device (and not per group.)
