I will like to add Error and Discard channels to SNMP Traffic Sensor permanently so that we can use it to discover all devices with the channels.

Based on the knowledge base, we can do it using Device Template. However, please advise on the steps in editing the template file to ensure all the devices will discover the required channels.

thank you very much for your KB-Post. Our recommendation would be, not editing the existing templates, but creating your own one. Just create an example device, with one SNMP Traffic Sensor, with the Additional Channels you want (and maybe a Ping-Sensor, set as "Master Object for Parent", if you want to use the Dependencies), and create the template from this example-device.
