Push data sensor

My Prtg server and probe run on a VMware server. I would like to push some data from the outside web. Is PRTG able to listen and fetch the pushed data outside or do I have to open the 5050 port to allow PRTG to receive the data from the web.

Hello,

thank you very much for your KB-Post. It will be necessary to open / forward the port to your PRTG Machine, so that traffic from the outside can reach your PRTG. This can't be done by PRTG, and will be a manual configuration action on your firewall(s) / router(s).
