I am running HP Customized VMware ESX 5.5.0 on a HP Proliant DL380 G5. I am trying to use the SNMP HP ProLiant Physical Disk but it fails with the following error: Could not find any disk on this device. (code: PE188)

How can I fix this?

Please understand that we currently are not supporting this configuration. The Offline Insight Management software doesn't support the same MIB or OIDs as the Windows or Linux version.

We are looking at the issue, but we can't promise any success with the OSIM on ESX.

OK, I understand. Is there maybe a MIB file available somewhere that I can try and import in this case?

HP has a Insight Management MIB update kit available for download that you could experiment with, but there's no guarantee that it'll work for your configuration (or return correct / expected values):
