Hello all,
I'm using PRTG 14.1.8.1308+ in order to monitor our Firewalls (Checkpoint R70 and R75).
Each FW has 8-10 NICs and I'd like to know if I can add a ping sensor for every interface. The aim is to have a vision on the availability of each interface. Is it possible? I've already tried to add the "pingsensor" tag in every interface probe, but without a result.
Every suggestion is welcome. Thank you in advance.

Hello,
thank you for answering. I was afraid that you will give me this answer as it was the only solution that I found before posting my question here.
Thank you anyway.
Have a great day.

Hello,
thank you very much for your KB-Request. I'm afraid this might not be possible, you can only ping IPs or hostnames (which are then resolved into IPs). So unless "behind" each NIC is a different IP, it won't be possible to ping each interface.
If you can set each NIC / Interface to have its own IP, it would then be necessary to have several devices in PRTG, each with the IP of one NIC / Interface then.
best regards
