Is it possible to count recurring SNMP alarms

I monitor digital inputs with SNMP and would like to see how many times the sensor was in an alarmstate last mont or last week.

I am basically looking for the number of times an sensor changes state.

thank you very much for your KB-Post. I'm afraid an "Error counter" is not available on sensors. But if this is intended for reports, there is a work-around:

How can I create a report about the notifications, alarms and downtime of a sensor?
