How can i create alerts to my gmail & mobile.

I have done the configuration regarding the alerts to my Gmail account. but i cannot get the alerts when the sensors are down.

Did you add state triggers to the corresponding objects, so that notifications are actually relayed? Please refer to User manual - Notifications.
