We monitorize a lot of ARCServe D2D status (copy, fusion, etc) with one mailbox where all the mails goes to.

In past weeks, the sensor worked great, but right now, all of them are down with error "login failed". This is very weird, 'cause the mailbox does not changed in anyway. I've changed the mailbox's password. I've reconfigured the sensor's credentials, the sensor was fine for a few seconds and then has fell again. Very strange.

And new credentials seems to be not valid for any of them.

Any ideas???

Hello,

thank you very much for your KB-Post. Could you please upload some screenshots showing the exact error messages on the sensor (from the "Overview"-Tab)? If the sensor is not in error-state right now, you can also check the "Log"-Tab of the sensor, to view previous error-messages.

best regards.

Hi there,

Meanwhile the post was authorized, I found the solution. It was a trouble with mailbox/user deactivation in Exchange/AD.

1-The sensors was down, all of them. 2-Password account was modified, so we need to reset on AD 3-New password was tested in one sensor. That was ok. 4-All other sensors wasn't stopped, so this caused a new account blocking, 'cause AD and Exchange doesn't admit large amount of login attempts (with wrong password). 5-New password. Stop all sensors. Change password one-by-one.

Thanks and sorry for inconveniences.
