Hi I have installed PRTG8 and no matter what I do I get error 10061 connection refused.

I have set the IP to the static in the PC 10.0.12.253, I have tried to change from ssl port 443 to port 80 and that did not work! I have followed the guide on the FAQ and that did not work, I cannot connect to the web server either!

I am using Windows 7 and IE

Hello,

where exactly do you get this error? Can you please make sure that the PRTG Services are running?

Best Regards.

As soon as I start the PRTG windows GUI it says trying to connect and then there is a popup sying error 10061 etc...

I just went into services and both the PRTG server and probe are running.

Just to check, you've set the IP for the Webserver or for the Core-Server (for Probe Connections)?

I have checked in the server IP and the server address in the GUI both set to 10.0.12.253

For the login to the Enterprise Console or the PRTG web interface, please make sure you use the right login name and password. They are case sensitive!

For the Enterprise Console, please also make sure that the IP address you're connecting to matches the IP address set in the PRTG Server Administrator. For a detailed description, please see Solving Connection Refused Socket Error # 10061 in Enterprise Console.
