We have a PRTG failover node running on a Windows virtual machine on an Apple Max. Occasionally we see the CPU usage of the processor on the virtual machine spike to 100%. This coincides with a task seen on the web GUI of PRTG called "Cache Calculation" and when this task stops the utilisation drops back down again. In addition when this task happens the sensors go into a grey "Unknown" status and then return to normal green when the task finishes. Do you know what this cache calculation task is? Many thanks.

This is a process that PRTG does to calculate the graphs that are seen in the interface. If this is happening every time that the computer is booted, then the cache may be corrupted and you can delete it and rebuild it by following this article
