Hi. We need to monitor a customer's blackberry system.

A simple method to manually test delivery through BES is to send a message with <CONFIRM> as the subject, to any user with a blackberry handset. The handset itself will return the message with "BlackBerry Delivery Confirmation" in the subject line.

If PRTG can send a message and check a pop3 mailbox for a message with specific text in the subject, then it seems like it has all the tools necessary to provide this test?

Any ideas on how to achieve this would be greatly appeciated :)

Thanks,

Matt

Hello,

sending the message may be possible with a script sensor using telnet then, but checking a Pop3 inbox for a certain message (customizable) is currently not possible. Sorry.

best regards.

Many thanks for that - is there any facility to listen for SMTP responses? i.e. look for the appropriate subject line text?

Cheers, Matt
