Simulate login to SFTP server

I need to have a sensor, that is able to determin if a user can login to a SFTP server or not, given a username and password in the configuration, and if it is able to do that, if it can do a directory listing on the server.

How can this be done? .. is it possible to do this using the Sensor factory, and if so, how would it be done?

thank you very much for your KB-Post. I'm afraid you could then only do this with a Custom Exe Sensor, as the SFTP Sensor implicitly only does a login.
