From time to time a get WMI errors on windows servers. They run 2003/2008/2008R2. The message is often "Server execution failed" or "Sensor stopped due to WMI lockup".
How do i go about troubleshooting this problem?

The scanning interval is set to 5min. Should i increase it you think?
It does not resolve it self. Either a restart or reregister the dll files for wmi solves it.

Hi maybe the WMI system of the server is overloaded, please increase (double or triple) the scanning interval and observe if the frequency of these errors is changed.
Do the errors occur and disappear without manual intervention?
