What web service extensions must be allowed?

I am trying to update PRTG Network Monitor as it's telling me to do but then it doesn't complete the install. It indicates that IIS needs to be running and it is. Now I get "Not connected (The page cannot be found...)

thank you very much for your KB-Post. IIS actually is not necessary for PRTG. Where exactly do you get this error? Can you maybe upload a screenshot?
