Script sensor runs the script twice at the same time

We want to use a custom sensor to monitor our event logs with special requirements. For this we use a VB script, but sometimes the sensor runs this script twice at the same time. Our developer has no idea why this happened.

thank you very much for your KB-Post. Can you tell us a few more details about this? What is the scanning interval on the sensor then? And its Timeout? Do you see failed scans in the "Log"-Tab of the sensor?
