But when I go to the device, add sensor, and select the library, the box comes up, showing 'working..' go any further, and sensors not added to device

thank you very much for your KB-Post. Please provide a few more details. What SNMP Library are you using? May I ask you to please use our SNMP Tester, preferably the betaversion of the new Tester 5, to perform a scan with the same SNMP Library against the target device? Which results do you get in the Tester? Please send us the result logfile from the Tester.
