What registry hacks are available for Paessler products?

Available Registry "Hacks"

This article lists a number of registry hacks that allow some unsupported settings for special issues.

Caution: Please back up your system before manipulating the Windows registry!

PRTG's Built-in Web Server and Probe System

• Change PRTG Version Text in Graphs
• Allow SSL v2 Connections for PRTG's Web Server
• Disable Automatic Redirect from Port 80 to Port 443 (in case you need port 80 for other services)
• Change User Agent String
• Change the Way PRTG Queries Time (might be necessary on some virtual machines)
• Disable Initial Scan for Network Adapters (No Mac Scan) (might be necessary if the local probe is constantly disconnected)
• Change Number of Simultaneous Update of Remote Probes (might be necessary when experiencing bandwidth issues when using a large number of remote probes)
• Changing the HTTP KeepAlive Flag Value for PRTG (might be a necessary if your core system is low on memory)
• Disabling Automatic Numbering of Groups, Devices, and Sensors

PRTG Sensors

• Change Measure Method for Ping Sensors (default method is: DNS resolution time not included)

PRTG Reports Engine

• Change the Default Port for Report Generation (default port is 8085)
• Change the Default Timeout Value for Report Generation (default is one hour)

Webserver Stress Tool

• Increase the Default Maximum Socket Value

PRTG 6 (Deprecated)

• Hide the "New Version" Hints
