Traffic sensor bandwidth utilization

Hi,

i would like to know how much network bandwidth does a traffic sensor typically used for SNMP monitoring? The reason for this question is to know how much network traffic does PRTG consume in a shared leased line.

Hi there,

SNMP traffic itself does not consume much bandwidth, a negligible amount comparable to Ping. PRTG does use a bit more and we have an article that describes this more at length here. You can also refer to here for more details about the SNMP standard.
