We were wondering if you guys have implemented any best practices for monitoring IBM Servers? We found the following support forum: https://www.paessler.com/knowledgebase/en/topic/40003-monitoring-ibm-server-hardware

Thanks,

Matt

Dear Matt,

you've got the best timing ever! We've just finished implementing IBM System X specific sensors today, for

  • system health
  • physical disks
  • logical disks
  • memory modules

At the moment, our qa department is testing them and we'll hopefully soon be able to release them. From the actual point of view, it will most likely be a matter of weeks.

Hey Johannes-

Is there any update to when this is going to be available?

We are very excited for this.

Thanks

Matt

Our policy is to never give any ETAs so nobody will be disappointed, if it takes longer then expected and also to reduce the pressure for the developers and thereby reduce the count for the bugs in our software. We also just released quite a big feature set including the new WebGUI, that needs to be supported. The most we can say right now is, that it will most likely be released within "a few weeks" from now.

If you don't want to wait any longer, you can install a free trial version on any other system, like for example your desktop and switch it to the Preview channel. You will then be able to test the new sensors and file a bug report if necessary. You can find a change log and describtion of our release channels here.
