HI all,

In my company we are looking for a monitoring tools that is able to monitor a central place (datacenter) and several other sites.

Is PRTG able to work in this kind of archiecture : - An instance in the datacenter monitoring datacenter devices (network, server ...) - An instance per site monitoring local devices, with sensors status to local IT Team available even if the network link to the datacenter is down ( I guess local sensors status storage on sites) and able to upload a set of probes to the datacenter instance (to consolidate them in business views)

Thanks in advance

This is quite possible with PRTG as long as the sites have connectivity between one another.

You would set up a PRTG installation at the data-center then setup other remote nodes at your remote sites and connect them to the first installation.

Here is a page from the manual describing how to install the remote probe software

Install a Remote Probe

The sensor alerts from the remote probes would come from the master node and the master node would notify you if any of the remote nodes were to go down.

Since there is no web interface for the remote probes, all of the sensors for those probes would be set up through PRTG.
