I have set up the cluster setting one as primary node and one as a fail-over node, when primary node down, the failover node is active and we can add and edit the entries but as soon as primary node is back the changes made in failover node is not reflected on primary node.

I'm very much afraid, this is intended. All configuration changes, made on the Failover Node, will be lost, once the Master Node is online again. Changes on the Failover Node should mostly be "emergency changes only", due to this.
