Hello,
I am trying to monitor an SSL certificate expiration using the inbuilt HTTP SSL Certificate Expiry sensor, but I am getting an error:
"External EXE/Script did not return a response code (code: PE087)".
Does anyone have any ideas how I can resolve this error?
I am using version 13.1.1.1088, and it is installed on Windows Server 2012.

Hello,
I just have the one at the moment - it is set to scan every 24 hours, as the data shouldn't really change much!
Thanks

As this sensor is actually an executable file, please try running it from command line. You will find it in PRTGs Program files folder, in:
\PRTG Network Monitor\Sensor System\SSLCertExpiration.exe
Please run the exe once to see the list of parameters. Then please run it again with the parameters filled against the site you also check in PRTG. Which result do you get?
best regards.

Hello,
Thanks for responding - I ran the tool from the command line, and it was because on Server 2012 it doesn't come with .NET 2.0 or 3.5 installed by default. Installing these features now means that the SSL checker works.

Hello,
how many SSL Expiry Sensors do you have? On which scanning interval?
best regards.
