The answer at https://kb.paessler.com/knowledgebase/en/topic/22323-how-do-i-wildcard-the-device-ip-name-in-an-http-advanced-sensor-s-url#reply-65683 states that if you use http:/// the name of the device will be used in the sensor url, but if I try that with a HTTP XML/REST sensor, I still get a URL parsing error. Am I missing something or is that feature currently not implemented for that sensor?

Hello,

I'm afraid this feature only applies for the 'normal' HTTP-Sensors.

best regards

That's a pity, it partially breaks the ease of use device templates offer when setting up a device that has this particular sensor. Will this be implemented in the future?

I'm sorry, there are no plans on that in the moment, but I'll put it on the wishlist.

yeah it would be awesome to have that featire. I 'm using a advanced http sensor within a template to create sensors for about 300 devices. Which means I need to manually edit that sensor 300x
