linux services check

i want to check service on my linux server's like httpd service . i check it whith http transaction but http stopped and i not get any notification. can i check this service in linux server whithout check url only on server ?

At the moment this can be done with Custom Exe Sensors in PRTG. https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/exe_script_sensor.htm

The other possibility is the SSH Script sensor, which is added to the preview channel of PRTG.
