Reported speed differences compared to MRTG

We're comparing PRTG against MRTG here to see whether we should upgrade our (basic) monitoring of our firewalls here and I'm seeing that MRTG is showing figures nearly 1/10th of those of PRTG.

Both are set to show Kbit for speed graphs but PRTG shows an average of 1000kb where as MRTG shows 107Kb average.

Any ideas why this might be? Only thought here that the labels are wrong and one is calculating KB and not Kb.

comparing single values on such tools is risky at best. It's always better to compare volumes over longer time periods such as hours or days. Are those so significantly different as well?
