Hi,
i want to monitor some environmental vaules from a CMC. I have actived SNMP and have the necessary OIDs to get the temperature etc. I can get the temp as an integer or string. The string value comes as something like "21.8 degree C", the integer as "2180". How can i build alarm conditions for these vaules? I want to be notified when the temeprature goes to abive a certain level. Are there better ways to monitor these vaules?

Hello,
now you can check the new Rittal CMC Sensor! See Release Note https://www.paessler.com/prtg/history/stable#21.3.69.1333

Hello Gerrit,
Thank you for your message.
Regarding your question, you have the possibility to use both SNMP Custom and SNMP Custom String sensors to monitor the OIDs which return integer or string values.
To easily monitor the temperature, I recommend you to use the SNMP Custom sensor by configuring the parameter "Division" to 100 so you can display the temperature correctly.
Then, to be notified depending on the value returned by the OID, you have the possibility to configure limits in the channel settings as well as add a threshold trigger under the Notification trigger tab.
Here is the appropriate documentation: https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/sensor_notifications_settings https://www.paessler.com/support/how-to/limits
If you have further questions, let us know.
Kind regards.
