Hello,

Is there any way we can do a real time monitoring to track when traffic/connections is being dropped from specific IP addresses. Lets say for example from these 10.10.10.1/2 to 10.10.10.3/6

Our main objective here is to find out dropped connections from specific IP addresses.

Please do let us know if there are any Linux sensors supported for this type.

Thanks

Hello ramkumarj,

Thank you very much for your contact.

Real time monitoring is not possible as it would require a permanent connection of PRTG as well as it would require the targeted devices to send data in real time.

The probably best approach would be to deploy a WMI Remote Ping sensor that pings the connection from device A to device B. Afterwards configure a notification trigger based on the sensor's state. See also the Paessler website: How to set up notifications via the PRTG web interface.

Best regards,
Sebastian

Hello ramkumarj,

There is no built-in sensor for that. If you are interested in monitoring Linux components, please create a very own Custom sensor for it.

Sebastian
