Hi,

I would like to suggest adding new placeholders to EXE/XML sensors parameters. We are using the sensor to read other data from VMWARE (vCenter) and we don't want to write the credentials in the script or settings, because they are there in the plaintext.

So we would like to add the same option like %windowsuser / %windowspassword also for VMWARE (%vmwareuser / %vmwarepassword). This would certainly be very helpful and would also elevate the security of monitoring.

I'm afraid this currently not possible. Feel free to propose a new official feature request.

Theoretically you could try breaking the inheritance, enter the vmware credentials as windows or linux credentials just for this specific device, and use the Windows or Linux placeholders.
