Should PRTG Installer be run only under an administrator account? Which privileges are required when installing with an AD account?
Can I run the Installer by changing the default installation path : "C:\Program Files (x86)\PRTG Network Monitor"?

Yes, we recommend using the administrator account for the installation.
While running the installer, you can change the installation path. Have a look here: https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/install_a_prtg_core_server (Step 6)
