I am having installation with 700+ sensors which include 100+ WMI sensors for different devices.
when I unplug one of device Ping sensor mark as down after 1 min but all WMI sensors (CPU/Memory/Process) are not turned down even after 5-7 mins.
It looks like PRTG is sending WMI request but not receiving any response or requests are not getting time out.
Is there any way to reduce WMI request timeout so that they get down if no response received?

Hello there,
Since WMI is a very load intensive protocol, PRTG keeps the WMI session open for a quite long time to maintain a good performance even if there are steady connection issues. Our recommendation is to configure the Ping sensor as Master sensor for parent (Sensor Settings -> Schedules, Dependencies, and Maintenance Windows), so the WMI Sensors get paused as soon as the ping sensor switches to a down state.
Kind regards,
