We are experiencing false positives on sensors. The workaround we have been using is restarting SNMP on our Windows servers. Often times this work around won't work and we're stuck with the triggered false positives until we need to reboot. This creates an inconvenience and makes it difficult to monitor where problems are occuring.

Is this a common issue that can be resolved? Please advise on next steps I should take to remedy this and if you need any logs collected.

The common error we get with the false positives is as follows:

No response (check: firewalls, routing, snmp settings of device, IPs, SNMP version, community, passwords etc) (SNMP error # -2003)

it is possible that the probe device itself is experiencing connection issues?

Hello,

aj's reply is correct. Error -2003 means that the target does not respond within timeout, or not at all. It the SNMP service gets stuck, this can't be fixed through PRTG. Please check the Windows Event Log if anything comes up.
