We are evaluating PRTG on our network with HP Aruba switches. We've enabled sflow and configured PRTG and the sflow sensor to collect and analyse the sflow data. It seems to work out of the box, except for viewing traffic per vlan. A useful feature would be to create a top list on the sflow sensor to see traffic on each of our vlans and inter vlan traffic. Reading through the documentation suggests that PRTG can do this but doesn't mention how. Watching the video tutorial, it only shows it being done in the netflow sensor.

Is it possible to be able to view per vlan and inter vlan traffic on the sflow sensor?

Hello there,

The approach how to monitor traffic in a LAN or VLAN depends on the setup and topology of your network. The quickest way would be adding multiple sFlow sensors and apply a filter based on the IP or protocol for each item you want to monitor.

You can get some more information about this in this article.
