I'm using the PRTG API to enable specific notification templates, for example I want to get alerts when the device is expected to be online, but no alarms when it's not expected to be. The problem is notification templates aren't a type of sensor so I have to grant the API user full Administrative rights in order to enable and disable the template. Is there a way to avoid doing that?
If not, I'd like to put in a request for more specific user group options, as opposed to either a "Give members of this user group Admin rights" or "Do not give members of this user group admin rights"
thanks

Hi there,
it is not be necessary to give a user or group full administrative rights to pause and resume a notification template. Giving a user group "Write access" in the "Access Rights" section of the notification template is sufficient.
If you have fixed timespans, when the notifications should be paused, you also have the option to apply "schedules" directly to notification templates. For more information about schedules, please take a look at the following documentation: https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/schedules_settings
