We support an organisation with multiple global sites, we would like to monitor Office 365 from every site to see if the key services are available. Getting some service response times would be even better.. - Email - SharePoint - Teams (Skype for Business) - OneDrive - Yammer

Hi there,

There is no native sensor which can display the status of the different services. However there is an user-based custom solution. You can download the script from GitHub.

The installation and configuration information is in German, so you might have to translate the text into your language through your browser.

We released two new sensor types for Microsoft 365 with PRTG version 20.3.61.1649, the Microsoft 365 Service Status sensor and the Microsoft 365 Service Status Advanced sensor.

Microsoft 365 Service StatusThe new Microsoft 365 Service Status BETA sensor monitors the overall status of all services of a Microsoft 365 subscription. It shows the total number of operational services, degraded services, interrupted services, and services in warning status.

With the help of this sensor type, you will always see the status of your Microsoft 365 services at a glance and can immediately step in before the workflow of your entire company is affected if there is an issue.
Microsoft 365 Service Status AdvancedThe new Microsoft 365 Service Status Advanced BETA sensor monitors the detailed status of all services of a Microsoft 365 subscription. With this sensor, you get a detailed status of all Microsoft 365 applications and products you are subscribed to like, for example, Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, Skype for Business, OneDrive for Business, or Planner.

You can individually define in the Add Sensor dialog which Microsoft 365 services you want to monitor and create a sensor for.

While I understand this sensor is in beta, the documentation from what I can find is lacking. How does one correctly configure Credentials for Azure AD? The help page for Azure AD (https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/device_settings#azuread) simply says.

Tenant ID -Enter your Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) tenant ID.

Client ID - Enter your Azure AD client ID.

Client Secret - Enter your Azure AD client secret.

Can additional detail be provided as to how one obtains those particular values?
