Customize/create printer sensor

I want a printer sensor which show me also the printer's error code. Also i want the ping channel (?!) not showing an error if the Web Gui is still available.

What's your suggestion to start with?

You can either use the default Printer Sensor or if you are looking to display the printer's error code this may be possible (depending on your printer model) using SNMP Custom sensors.

In order to monitor the Web Gui you can use the HTTP Sensor.
