Hello everybody,

we want to monitor our EMC VNX with PRTG. Unfortunately we always get an error message with the sensors. "Cannot load endpoint https://x.x.x.x/api/instances/system/0?fields=health,currentPower: expected status 200 OK but got 499 Unauthorized user access. Check User / Password / Scope." Does anyone have experience monitoring EMC with PRTG? The user account are correctly stored in the sensor. Is there anything else that needs to be done at the EMC?

Hello Alex,

If your device is part of the Dell EMC Unity family, the following 5 native sensors can be used. These sensors use the REST API of Dell EMC devices.

Are you using the System Health sensor here? It seems like this error message is related to HTTP/EMC itself - are you able to make API calls and access https://x.x.x.x/api/instances/system/0?fields=health,currentPower manually in the browser of the PRTG Server with the same user that is also configured in PRTG?

I have the same issue
This error is for REST Dell EMC Sensors, not for any other sensor type.
In these sensors' setting, we can only enter the username and password and nothing more we can set like scope,...
Also when i make this API from the PRTG server, the result is the same:
API: https://x.x.x.x/api/instances/system/0
or https://172.16.71.75/api/instances/system/0?fields=health,currentPower
Result: Navi Error. Access Denied. Please check the typed URL.
Notwithstanding that i have administrator access on the storage with both global and local scopes!

Hello,

If the result is the same while using the API Call manually in the browser, the issue is more likely related to the target device rather than PRTG. May I ask which dell firmware you are using?
