Hi,
I'm a total PRGT newbie, worked with this for few hours. I come from a SCOM background.
In SCOM I could easily get a total SQL view, number of SQL servers and number of databases in the organization, using the SQL SCOM management pack.
I'm now in a new job. Nobody knows the number of SQL servers, SQL versions, number of databases etc.
We are using PRTG for monitoring, as I see it, version: 20.1.57.1745
How can I get an SQL view or SQL report with all SQL servers, SQL versions and SQL databases?
(please remember when you answer, I'm a newbie in PRGT :-) )
It really depends on what is currently configured within your PRTG instance. When going to Sensors | By Type | M ..., are there any MSSQL or MySQL Sensors configured? Or under W ... | WMI Microsoft SQL Server, any Sensors there? PRTG is less of an inventory application, but more of a monitoring one. You'd need to have them added proactively into PRTG in order to report upon them :)
