I have two questions about the Cloud Sensors that are used to monitor a specific device from the WAN. My questions are: 1) If I purchase PRTG with only 12 months support, do I still get to keep the Cloud Sensors after the Support ends? and 2) How many Cloud Sensors can I use per PRTG instance?

I saw a thread from a few years back that PRTG had a 5 Sensor limit per PRTG Instance, in terms of Cloud monitoring.

If you corresponds to this article, yes this limit is still up to date.

You can use all features of PRTG also without maintenance.
