I am looking for a sensor that is similar to the SNMP APC Hardware sensor. Which other sensors also make sense in monitoring USPs?

I'm afraid there are no native sensors specifically for Alpha UPS's. You can find all available sensor types here. If your device supports SNMP and there's a MIB file available for your device, you might want to have a look at the SNMP Custom sensors.
