Hi, I'm looking for a way to manually trigger a notification to a particular mail address. Background: A certain address will automatically create a ticket in our ticket system.
The goal ist to avoid additional work in creating tickets manually for standard tasks like extending a volume, cleaning logs or whatever. What I'd really appreciate was a right click tool, simply something like "send to predefined mail address".
Any ideas? Thanks in advance
Bye Dirk

I'm sorry, didn't explain it correctly. I need the opportunity to send it in the context of a device, like a an automatic notication would do it. But it has to be done manually 'cause I have to decide on my own whether it's going to be a new ticket or not. For example: I want to be notified, when a server runs out of memory (PRTG Desktop does this fine without notification), but I don't want a ticket to be created for this temporary problem. On the other hand: If the server runs out of disk space, I'll have to create a ticket to document my work and the action taken.

Hi,
Thanks for the further explanation. I'm afraid to tell you that this is not possible.
There is a function which is kind of like that, "Simulate Error Status". This however sets the sensor into a Warning or Error State.

Hi there,
There is an option to send a Test Notification. Please navigate to "Setup | Account Settings | Notification Templates", select the Notification with the check box on the right side and choose "Send test Notification" (small Bell Icon).
I hope this helps.
Kind regards,
