Hello,

I have a custom sensor that works with a powershell script to get some data using PowerCLI. To connect and use PowerCLI, I need to specify the user and password. I'd like to pull this information using the VMware/Xenserver Credentials section of my device into the parameters section of the sensor. I know that there is a Windows and Linux user/password placeholder but is there one for the VMware credentials?

Hi Mark,

Unfortunately, there aren't. You can use the Windows or Linux placeholders in this case however.

Hello,

i would like to know if this was changed or still the same? That there are atill no placeholders for VMware username and password?

We uses already Linux and Windows Credential in our system. I can not replace them with VMware Cred.

Sorry, nothing has changed in that regard. You can however enter the credentials directly at the device level (by breaking the inheritance of either credential set).
