User Story

As a PRTG User, I want the ability to see all installed applications and software for RedHat Linux OS. When using Solarwinds we have the ability to see all applications and when they were updated. The ability to see that information in a product as great as PRTG will help on the daily system checkups.

Acceptance criteria

  • Criterion #1 - A list of all installed applications
  • Criterion #2 - A list that updates or sends an alert or ticket if software was changed and upgraded

Criteria 1 could be solved via the System Information Feature which is available for each device monitored:
https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/system_information

However requesting these application information is not working for every Linux Distribution.
