We're having a problem on PRTG where one of our device's SNMP sensors is failing with error -2011 on SNMPv3.

I've reset the credentials, restarted the unit (just to be sure) but nothing I do helps.

the SNMPTester works perfectly, I can see the uptime on the unit and can go through a network walk on the device too - all passes with flying colours.

Any suggestions as to why PRTG would be failing? I'm carefully copying/pasting any passwords and sensitive values to be sure I'm not messing up there.

Hi there,

As a test, please restart the Probe Service under which you have added the sensors. It can happen that certain changes to the SNMP Credentials result in hanging SNMP Connections.
