Hello all.

I want to monitor a certain folder and all files there that match certain mask - example would be monitor Exchange Log files - I can monitor edb with file monitoring, and I want to monitor log files - so a folder that has LOG files and sum them together.

How would I go about achieving this?

Hi,
this is not possible with a native PRTG sensor but you might have a look at the PTF Network File Count sensor from the PRTG Addons page.
As an alternative you might write a own script and then use the EXE/Script Sensor to get the results into PRTG.

Dooh!, I forgot about that - I made it with that script; though there is problem that the script only counts files - Exchange Logs files are the same size, so no problem there, but if anyone has multiple names, size etc. to monitor one cannot make it with NFC Sensor. Thank you anyway! RGD
