We have a PRTG instance with 6 probes. Last time we updated PRTG, those probes were updated and some of the corresponding servers went offline causing a big issue. Is it possible to prevent some of the probes to be updated when updating PRTG? That way we would be able to test the new Probe version in 1 or 2 Probes, and if everything was working fine we'd update the remaining ones. If that is not possible, would stopping PRTG services on certain Probes prevent those to be updated in the situation described above? Thanks! Carlos

Dear Customer,
I can confirm Michele's statement.
To prevent the probes from receiving the update, stop the Probe Service on the Remote Probe system.
It should be noted that the monitoring is not continued during the test phase on the stopped probe.
As soon as the probes reconnect to the Core Server, they will get automatically updated.
Kind regards,

Hi,
as far as I know it is only possible to achive this by stopping the probe service on the servers.
