Hi,
Did you already check the sensor's manual and especially the remarks section?
Important to know is that you need to enable the SNMP service first, before being able to monitor it via SNMP. Please follow our blog article how to setup SNMP on a Windows client:
https://www.paessler.com/blog/how-to-enable-snmp-on-your-operating-system
Afterwards, it is also necessary to configure the incoming SNMP communication for PRTG's point of view properly. To do so, please open the "Settings" tab of the device that should has the SNMP sensors and configure the corresponding settings at "Credentials for SNMP devices".

Sebastian

Hi there,
Thank you very much for your contact.
For Windows based service monitoring, there are two native and built-in sensors in PRTG.
The SNMP Windows Service Sensor and the WMI Service Sensor.
For monitoring processes in Linux, please refer to this knowledge base article. If this approach does not suit your requirements, you could consider using a self-written SSH Custom Script Sensor.
Best,
Sebastian
