In PRTG, a SNMP Library is set up for me to monitor CISCO device module operation status. Under the sensor overview, I get Channel ID 2 and Value OK, which is great.
My question is, it the Channel ID aligned with Value? for example, if the sensor gets value disabled, will the Channel ID changes to 3?
I am asking this because in the MIB description, the lookup values are followed up with different number, unknown(1) ok(2), disabled(3), okButDiagFailed(4),boot(5) etc. And when I want to set up notification using Threshold Trigger, PRTG gives me "When channel is above, equal or not equal for..., perform...."

Hey Stanley,
the channel ID remains unchanged even after a changed return value. So there is no change to "fear".
However, PRTG offers the possibility to translate numerical values into strings (like Ok, Disabled, etc.) according to the entries in the MIB files with the help of lookup files.
